Damon Brandt has worked with collectors for over 35 years. He offers extensive curatorial expertise in the tribal and contemporary fields fed by an extensive and loyal international network of dealers, curators and writers. Damon has built an infrastructure that can also effectively manage all phases of the acquisition process; from fieldwork and positioning to appraisal, restoration, shipping and installation. He has worked successfully at sourcing and placing distinctive works of art with private collectors, multi-national corporations and internationally renowned museums.
Damon believes that collecting is about constructive collaboration in the pursuit of connoisseurship. Based in New York City with his wife and two sons, he maintains the necessary travel schedule to develop a relevant personal hierarchy of the ever expanding landscape of art fairs, museums, auction houses and far flung art communities along with their resident outliers.
