Tribeca Fight Club

While “the first Rule of Fight Club is that you do not talk about Fight Club”,  let’s follow the personal credo that when given a rule, the first instinct should be to break that rule.

And in celebration of the very feral nature that flourishes amongst those who wander alone through these hallowed canyons of brick and mortar, here is a little pocket lint about the film you are about to watch. Shot on dime over a 24 hour period of filming, hidden below the streets of one of Gotham’s most celebrated neighborhoods,  TFC is a testament to the underbelly culture of fighting.  To the art of self-defense and a celebration of the gruff non-nonsense coaches that pass along this storied craft fueled by the spit and glue of a prayer and the dream of personal victory. There is no beginning and end to that climb, no story book Hollywood prologue, just the sound of foot stomping metal and a voice echoing from within the darkness below, “Oh, it’s you”.
